Hi,
everybody knows that PathFinder function to send e-mails is not working on PathFinder 8,
so I created a new plugin to PathFinder 8 to allow PF 8 to send e-mails again.

It adds a new menu item Called "Email Item(s)...". And you can put it anywhere on PathFinder context menu (right click menu).

Attached at the end of the article, there is a Zip file with the working email-sender plugin inside.
(and the source code too on a second Zip file for anyone who wants it)

Function of this plugin: This plugin will open the default e-mail client configured on your system, and send the files to it.

Installation instructions follows:

Here is an animated gif of it in action on PathFinder 8

Image Name: preview

Instructions:
1) Unzip the EmailShare.plugin.zip file attached here. It will extract a file called "EmailShare.plugin"
2) copy the extracted file, or select it
2) Now go to: ~/Library/Application Support/Path Finder/PlugIns
3) and put the extracted file there (at the Plugins folder), or paste is there.

4) Restart PathFinder so it can load the plugin.
5) Open PathFinder, and enable the plugin at the context menu. (see picures below)
Done!

Below are screenshots for the instalation sequence described above:

Install it:
Install it: install

Enable it:
enable it: enable

Use it:
use it: use

Attached files: EmailShare.plugin.zip and _EmailShare_Xcode_source.zip

The installation is very simple.
But if you need any help, doubt or problem, please reply below so I can help you.

Forgot to mention and attach license.txt.

This code is opensource licensed under BSD style.
    For details see license.txt

This is a great initiative. It works well with Apple Mail. When I switch to Spark (as default) it opens Spark but without the attachment. It may, therefore, work with some secondary email clients but not all?

By the way this should be in a tips tricks and hints section, otherwise, it will get lost in the forum very quickly.

Another approach to this issue is to create a service. In fact I never thought much about services with Pathfinder but have created a few which are handy even if they replicate what can be done in Pathfinder in a different way.

I'm not sure when this was fixed, but as of today, running Path Finder 8.5.1 (1964) on macOS 10.14.5 (Mojave), the PF8 actions to email, and compress & email, are working fine.
