Need option to hide and reveal modules

I noticed there is no way to hide and reveal modules, specifically terminal and info. I don't need these open all the time and it really hampers productivity in dual pane operations in folders with many files. I definitely don't want to add them every time I need them, it takes longer than just opening up terminal on it's own. Am I missing something or is this truly a feature?

I would love to add modules, then set hotkeys (preferably function keys), and then show and hide as needed. A bonus would be to have terminal follow whichever pane I am in, but I can see how that might be frustrating to some.
