Hi guys,

We've just experienced a hideous bug in Chronosynch (I think) which effectively set all the Quarantine flag on all the files on one Mac, so that none of them will open on double-clicking. We get the message "FILENAME is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash".

We have found we can get around this by removing the Quarantine: sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine filename.

But we are looking for a better solution.

Would Path Finder 8 be able to sort this out for us?

Many thanks!

    Hi John,

    Thanks for reaching out!

First of all, was Chronosynch itself removed from quarantine?

Well, can't say for sure if PF will sort this out.
You should give it a try. We offer a free trial which should be enough to test.

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,
