Using PathFinder 8.3.7 on macOS 10.14.2

I've been using PathFinder for several years on several Macbooks and for the first time, it has become barely usable:

When PF is open, the macbook (lastest MacBook Pro) fans start spinning fast within a few minutes and the battery drains. Looking in the Activity Monitor, Path Finder uses between 10 and 100% (see snapshot). Never drops below 10% while browser window is open and very frequently goes above 50%.

Any workaround of fix ?

    Hi Ben,

Please choose a .txt file, open Preview module preferences (gear button next to its header) and uncheck "Colorize syntax".

Also, it may be worth trying to restore defaults for View Settings (cmd+J).
Make sure to have "Calculate all sizes" unchecked here.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,
