Automating reports

I love the Directory Listing feature (File -> Reports -> directory listing). I use it often. I then save the reports to dropbox and have them available at home or work or wherever.

However, it would be VERY useful to me to automate this task. Just run one of those on a specified directory, then save the file to a specified location, overwrite the old one, and be done with it.

This may be accomplished with AppleScript but I have no idea how one would go about it. I hear AppleScript support is poor.
I know how to do Automator Actions, but there's no path finder in automator, sadly.

If anyone can help, I'll be much grateful.

I suggest you use AppleScript and some terminal stuff like do shell script ls (folder) and output it to a text file. Search around MacScripter, it's a great resource.
