Hello, I wasrecently working on a word document and the program crash. Somehow it saved my original file as an alias and moved it from its original location. The only way I can find it is by using spotlight. I downloaded path finder but the file doesn't appear in its search feature. What can I do?!? Please this file is my college application essay which needs to be handed in by 12 tonight. The file is entitled FAMILY RESPONSIBILITIES (look in attached file). My computer recognizes that it is a word document but it has no extension. I cannot give it an extension or alter the name or move it or do anything with it. PLEASE HELP!!!

Try to search for the filename (minus extension) using Search mode, not Spotlight, in the Find window.

    Search
