Dear Support,

I am having difficulty understanding the why PathFinder and Finder are showing different amounts of available space, can you please point me in the right direction?

Best wishes & Merry Christmas

John

    Hi John,

Please read this thread for more information. It's known that Finder doesn't take in account Time Machine backups that were removed. You can use DiskWave to settle the score straight.

First many thanks for your really quick reply.

This is my main hard drive time machine backups are on my time capsule, I have downloaded DiskWave but I cannot find the files you are referring to, can you point me in the right direction to find them?

    Best wishes & Merry Christmas

    John

Sorry John, what files? You just need to run DiskWave, check the available space on your boot drive and see if it matches Finder or Path Finder. If it doesn't match any, please logout and try again.
