crashing upon launch and copying

Every time I launch PF, it crashes and often I send in the crash reporter log (PF 6.1.2 (1513), Mac OS X 10.8.2 build 12C60). Also about half the time I copy a directory from a server (not individual files), it won't copy. I then open the popup and attempt to terminate (press the X) and PF hangs. I have to force-quit, relaunch. I can open a Finder window and copy the same directory successfully, eliminating the directory structure itself.

    Hi Steve,

The best option here is to delete and reinstall Path Finder 6. You' ll need to re-enter your license info after reinstalling, so make sure to have it ready.

There are 2 steps to take when deleting Path Finder 6, I'll guide you through both.

First, find the Path Finder 6 app, and drag it to the Trash.

Next, you'll need to find the Preferences file for PF6. To do so you need to access your library file. Click on the Go dropdown menu in the regular Finder, if you do not see Library listed, hold down the Option key and it will show up. Once the Library is open, go to Application Support and delete the entire Path Finder file.

After both files are in the Trash, make sure to Empty the Trash, then Restart.

Finally, redownload and reinstall Path Finder 6-(www.cocoatech.com). Enter your license information and you should be all set!

Let me know how that works.

Hey Danny. Your steps didn't work. I did as directed.
I sent the crash reporter to you.

I even deleted the Path Finder directories in both /Library/Application Support and ~/Library/Application Support

    Steve,

I'll have the developers take a look at the crash report and get back to you. It might take a bit, as they're extremely busy working on the next version.

    Thanks for your patience!

I look forward to hearing from them.
I'm pretty technical if they need more assistance, even remote control to my laptop.

Next version - is this something like 6.2 or 7.0?
    How many programmers are there?

    I've not heard from you.
When can we move this forward?
I'd like to find out the cause of the crashing.
