but would like to know the difference between Find (which now has a button which brings up the window. Thank you!) and Search. Is one "better" than the other? If this makes you shudder in despair and you think I should be reading something somewhere, I am more than happy to dig in but so far a lot of Finder stuff comes up and not Pathfinder. If it doesn't matter (ie. if the basics are the same regardless) please let me know and I will get to it and try to educate myself but didn't particularly want to learn about Finder unless it was applicable to PF as I never use Finder.

Essentially, the Search bar is quicker with no options for the search criteria except for the filename itself but also has filtering options. The Find window gives you a choice between Spotlight (indexed items only) and Folder Search (unlimited UNIX search) and a number of options for the search criteria.

Let us know if you need more help. Cheers.
