I want to use the Arrange by Kind option and want Folders on top. I know you can use the Sort and have folders on top, but Arrange by Kind doesn't. Any ideas how I can get that to work?

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Please follow the instruction:
    1. Adjust Smart sorting according to your preferences via PathFinder > Preferences > Browser
    2. Make sure to enable "Smart sorting" in View Options (cmd+J)

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

The Smart sorting doesn't work on the categories that Arrange by Kind creates.

If you look at the first image in this KB article:
    http://support.cocoatech.com/kb/features-and-development/arranging-...

The categories are arranged alphabetically. How do you put folders first, like you can in Finder?

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

I see what you meant now, sorry for the previous reply.

Looks like there is no way to adjust the order of kinds under Arrange by Kind.
I will submit this as a feature request to our developers now.
As a workaround, I can suggest using Smart Sorting without the Arrange by Kind.

Don't hesitate to contact us should any further questions arise.

    Best Regards,
