I've already reported this but I now have more information. This bug is associated with Path Finder 8. I can reproduce it in multiple ways. The symptom is that a blank window opens -- no files, nothing in the window. Here is the easiest way to reproduce this.
1. Right click on Path Finder in the Dock.
2. Select New Browser. The browser opens and it will not be blank. Close the browser by clicking the Red close window dot.
3. Follow steps 1 and 2 again and a blank window will open up.

The only way to prevent this from happening is by closing the browser window by clicking the Yellow minimize dot when you see a fully functional browser window. This is new behavior in 8. Earlier versions did not display this behavior when closing a browser window when launched from the desktop instead of the Dock. Browser windows launched from the Dock behavior correctly.

See the attached screen shot.

    Hi Steve,

Thank you for the additional details.

I wasn't able to reproduce it myself but I will submit it to our developers.

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.
