How to enable Git LFS?

Hi,

It seems path finder does not handle git-lfs even though it's installed on my system and I can use it via both terminal and graphical interfaces. The repo is lfs-enabled.

I am getting things like

git-lfs filter-process: git-lfs: command not found

and

This repository is configured for Git LFS but 'git-lfs' was not found on your path. If you no longer wish to use Git LFS, remove this hook by deleting .git/hooks/post-commit.

What do I do?

Thanks!

    Hi Alfred,

Please follow the instruction and check if the issue still persists:

    1. Make sure that Path Finder is located in the Applications folder
(in case you are using macOS Mojave) Use System Preferences > Security & Privacy > grant Full Disk Access to Path Finder

    2. Open your terminal and paste the following command to check if Path Finder has been slapped with the quarantined extended attribute:
      xattr /Applications/"Path Finder.app"

    3. If you see com.apple.quarantine returned as output from that last command, then go ahead and run this next command:
      xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/"Path Finder.app"

You won't get any feedback or output from that command, but that's okay because you can just run the first command again to see for yourself if the com.apple.quarantine attribute shows up again. It shouldn't, and now Path Finder is freed from Apple quarantine jail. Restart your PathFinder now.

Don't hesitate to contact us should any questions arise.

    Best Regards,

    Hi team,

I'm sorry for the gap in communication. I did not get the notification (spam).

I'm on Mac Sierra still. I tried your suggestions with xattr and it did not return anything.
So it still does NOT work.

    Here's more testing and info:

IN a regular terminal window "git lfs env" returns the following versions installed: (latest for both git and git-lfs)

    git-lfs/2.6.0 (GitHub; darwin amd64; go 1.11.2)
    git version 2.19.2

IN Path finder, when I try to run "git lfs env" via "other" button, I get:

    /bin/bash: shell_session_update: command not found

Any ideas? I don't see anything in the preferences that would allow me to override the shell or anything.

A big shame! I would love to use the git module - but I can't commit anything and not even via the 'other' button!

Oh I found something of interest maybe!

When I use the 'other' button, I can't use ANY git commands.
    Evern 'git status' reports

    /bin/bash: shell_session_update: command not found

While pushing the 'git status' button works as expected.

Now this sounds like a clue!

Thanks Jordan. Please pass this into the communike?
