Dragged-icon "Ghost" on Desktop Now Mislocated

For v8.2.4: When dragging icons on Desktop, the "ghost" image that moves as you begin to drag is now displaced about n icon spacings below the cursor, where "n" is the number of icons being dragged in a column. Images below are of (1) the dragging of 8 files leftward. The (invisible) cursor is attached to the red "8", but the files in "ghost" form are way below. (2) My Desktop's View Options.

This just started happening, maybe when I recently updated to v8.2.4.

Very annoying because it is no hard to peoperly place the dragged icons where you want them.
