In version 8.0 (and still in 8.2), if you select a large number of files and attempt to tag them via the contextual menu, the popup dialog box does not come up. For example, I'm attempting to tag over 100 jpg files in a single directory. If I select all of them, right click and select "Tags and rating", the tag entry dialog never appears. Multi-file tagging only works if all of the files are visible in the view. (In other words, if the selection extends above the viewable region, you never get the dialog box.)
