Whenever I delete a file that is on Google File Stream, I get the following:

An error occurred. No such file or director. NO such file or directory.

However, the file does get deleted.

I've had this same experience since upgrading from PF7 to PF8.

    Path Finder 8.0.3 (1873)
    Google Drive File Stream 25.252.289.1612
    macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 (17F77)

I love how the big upgrade they want us to pay for was just some useless GUI tweaks, and a bunch of things that are now broken, while not adding any functionality.

I'm still having this issue, hundreds of times a day. It's really frustrating. Any chance of a fix on its way?

Nope, they have been aware of GFS issues for many many months and do not seem to be addressing it.

I get this exact bug you describe. Only difference is some variation: sometimes the error message is "No such file or directory", as you have it; sometimes it's "Operation not supported". When I tried moving a file from one folder to another, it said "Input/Output error".

I have literally never been able to delete a file in File Stream with PF8 without getting an error message, been using it about a week now. However, I've noticed that the files do get deleted, so the error is erroneous. (But it screws up batch operations, one the error hits everything after that stops.)

Honestly, I have had nothing but trouble with Google File Stream + Path Finder since day one, using v7 (where it crashed a lot, freezing the entire computer) and now trying v8 (less severe bug, but still annoying). I'm really sad, because I love PF but will stop using it and won't buy v8 unless the compatibility gets fixed.

Hi, tech support team, checking in--any progress on this? I'd really like it to be solved, because I love Path Finder, but for work every single file I use every day is on Google Drive File Stream, so I really need Path Finder to work with GFS.

    Hi,

No progress at the moment, I'm afraid.

We will investigate available APIs for cloud services and possibilities to integrate them into PathFinder, but that will take some time.
Also, it's rather expected we wouldn't be able to achieve full functionality like working with the native application, as APIs these companies provide don't offer the full functionality of native applications.

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,
    Jordan
