Whenever I open Pathfinder 8.0.4 with Mojave Beta 3 another program called DXFFinderWindow starts up and the fans start blowing full blast as it never uses less than 100% CPU.

    Hi Richard,

May I ask you to attach a screenshot of such window?

Please choose a .txt file, open Preview module preferences (gear button next to its header) and uncheck "Colorize syntax".

Also, it may be worth trying to restore defaults for View Settings (cmd+J).
Make sure to have "Calculate all sizes" unchecked here.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,
    Jordan

Don’t know if a screen shot is necessary. In Activity monitor DXFFinderWindow opens immediately when I open Path Finder and it stays at the top of the list with 99% plus CPU usage all the time and the fans going full blast until I close Path Finder and DXFFinderWindow closes as well and all becomes calm again. I’ve restored defaults and Calculate all Sizes wasn’t selected anyway. By the way it’s Mojave Beta 2 and not 3 as I erroneously wrote in my first message.

    Hi Richard,

Well, works fine on my Mojave beta.

May I ask you to follow the instruction and check if the issue still persists:

    1. Delete Path Finder and its traces according to the article:
      http://support.cocoatech.com/kb/installation-and-compatibility/how-...
    2. Download the latest version of the app from our site
    3. Copy zipped app to the Applications folder
    4. Unzip it into the Apps folder and launch

Let me know how it goes.

    Best Regards,

Followed all the de-install and re-install instructions. That DFX folder still starts up with the new Path Finder and runs at 99%CPU all the time

Do you use Default Folder X? I seem to remember that's one of the processes used by that app....

I installed the latest Mojave public beta and opened PathFinder and it's been open for three hours now and still no DXFFinderWindow problem. There have also been a couple of Default Folder X beta updates too so, fingers crossed, that's fixed it because I've even tried PathFinder with "Calculate all sizes" checked and not a murmur!!
    Fingers crossed.
