Seems I can add a tag using Path Finder 8 but cannot remove them? I have to use the OS Finder to remove an existing tag to then apply it in pathfinder which is redundant. Using OS 10.13.5 & Latest Path Finder 8 release.

    Hi Dale,

Please click on the tag to remove it.
For example, you have the red tag assigned, click it once again in order to remove it.

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

I am finding that this isn't the case. It will not remove a tag at all.
Only chance to another colour tag in pathfinder despite it working as
expected with the regular OS finder.

    Hi Dale,

May I ask you to follow the instruction and check if the issue still persists:

    1. Delete Path Finder and its traces according to the article:
      http://support.cocoatech.com/kb/installation-and-compatibility/how-...
    2. Download the latest version of the app from our site
    3. Copy zipped app to the Applications folder
    4. Unzip it into the Apps folder and launch

Let me know how it goes.

    Best Regards,

    Hi,
Followed all the steps and same behaviour. Only letting me add tags with
Path Finder. But regular OS finder adds/removes as expected.
Let me know if I can try anything else.
    Thanks,
    Dale

My Apologies. It is now working on internal drives and external drives but
not on shared network drives. Perhaps that is expected behaviour?
    Thanks again,
    Dale

    Hi Dale,

Please follow the instruction and check if the issue still persists:

    1. Open your terminal and paste the following command to check if Path Finder has been slapped with the quarantined extended attribute:
      xattr /Applications/"Path Finder.app"

    2. If you see com.apple.quarantine returned as output from that last command, then go ahead and run this next command:
      xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/"Path Finder.app"

You won't get any feedback or output from that command, but that's okay because you can just run the first command again to see for yourself if the com.apple.quarantine attribute shows up again. It shouldn't, and now Path Finder is freed from Apple quarantine jail. Restart your PathFinder now.

Don't hesitate to contact us should any questions arise.

Nothing quarantined per the commands. I think it perhaps is just an issue
with our particular shared drive maybe. It is an Avid Nexis shared storage
for video editing. Perhaps it has some permissions or issues that inhibit
    path finder.
    Thanks
